Our department caters for patients with diseases of digestive system which include:

Cancers of digestive system e.g., esophagus cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, liver cancer, gall bladder cancer, cancer of pancreas, periampullary cancer, bile duct cancer

Non-cancer diseases like stone diseases involving gall bladder, bile duct, liver, and pancreas,
chronic pancreatitis, portal hypertension, choledochal cysts, hydatid cysts, achalasia cardia, hiatus hernia, GERD, caustic ingestion.

Liver Transplant surgery for chronic liver disease, liver cancer.

Following services of the above conditions are provided as follows by:
1. Outpatient clinic
2. Inpatient service
3. Open and Laparoscopic Surgery
4. Diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS
5. Liver Transplant surgery

There are two units to run the Department at present.
